So get out there and see if you can best these Masters below, trainers !
Area Master: August
Specialty:
Insect Types
August is the very first Area Master you’ll meet along your long journey. He’s an Insect Type Enthusiast, and enjoys teaching new trainers about them. He runs the nature preserve just outside of Sectin Town, and is very passionate about keeping wild Enigmon safe from harm. Though Insect Types are often considered one of the weaker types, August has proven time and time again that they should never be taken lightly. His passion and skill make him a worthy first challenge. His easygoing and friendly nature doesn’t hold him back in battle, as he takes his job seriously, especially when it can be a great learning experience for rookie trainers.
Area Master: Bastion
Specialty:
Metal Types
Stern, rough around the edges, and no nonsense, Bastion is the second Area Master you’ll meet, and gives off the complete opposite vibe that August does. This young city planner and foreman is responsible for all the ongoing construction in Alumina City, and is a very serious fellow. He can be as cold as steel to rookie trainers, noting that he doesn’t like his time to be wasted. He’ll put you through the ringer, but not until you do some heavy lifting for him of course. “Time is money” is his motto. He’s efficient at nearly everything he does, so he won’t tolerate you slacking off. If you want to challenge him, be prepared to work for it !
Area Master: Mira
Specialty:
Mythical Types
Just beyond Terrorine Town and the abandoned ghost town, ‘“Spectre”, is a place known as Mithra Town. An old cottage, home to Medieval architecture, and a plethora of entertainers and enthusiasts, none more notable than the Area Master, Mira. Speaking as if she were permanently in the middle ages, Mira is known to be quite an unusual lass. She adores Mythical Type Enigmon, and is enamored by mysteries and legends. Getting her to break character is nearly impossible, and convincing her to battle you is probably going to be harder than slaying a dragon, as she’s far too caught up in her own little world to really pay you much mind. She’ll put you through a gauntlet to test your endurance and strength before taking you on herself.
Area Master: Holly
Specialty:
Ice Types
Area Master: Carrie
Specialty:
Ethereal Types
“Scary” Carrie gets her nickname from her rather unsettling appearance. Nobody’s entirely sure if this young woman is a ghost or not, but she’s friendly despite her morbid interests and preference for equally eerie Enigmon. She enjoys meeting new people, and is a bit of a history buff. She and the other residents of Terrorine Town hold an annual festival, celebrating the friendships they’ve formed with the Ethereal Type Enigmon that surround the town. She’ll need your help to get the party planning back on track though, and will agree to battle you once you’ve taken care of her requests. Don’t worry, she won’t put you six feet under… Probably…
This sweet, middle-aged miss, is Holly, the Area Master of the Catschill Mountains, and lodge owner in Hudston Town. Despite her type preference, she’s anything but icy, and is always open to helping those in need. She won’t stand for anyone causing trouble in her humble mountain town though, and will partner up with you to put a stop to some troublemakers’ antics. You won’t be able to challenge her to a battle the first time you two meet however, so you’ll need to return to her once you’ve completed the previous tasks, as well as help her out a bit more first. I’m sure she won’t give you the cold shoulder though !
Area Master: Caroline
Specialty:
Water Types
Meet Caroline, a lifeguard and the Water Type Area Master of Miyami City. She’s sporty and enjoys the beaches of the Nerida Region, and being such a skilled swimmer led this young woman to her current position. She’s responsible for protecting the Weathered Stone, said to house the last of 3 Legendary Guardian Enigmon. Team Enigma is after this stone though, so she’ll request your aid in forcing them away. Along with Marshall’s help, since the two cities are so close by one another, you’ll need to overcome rough waves and prove yourself to Caroline. When Team Enigma is dealt with, and you’ve bested the tide, she’ll take you on in battle. Her Water Types are known to hit with some serious force, like a tidal wave crashing over the beach, so you’d best bring a team that can stand up to such power !
Area Master: Hugh
Specialty:
Light Types
Meet Hugh. Artist, hipster, and all around chill guy. The Area Master of Brightview Isle, he spends alot of his time drawing, though he’s grown bored of the same old scenery and Enigmon living there. Due to his responsibilities on the island, he doesn’t get out much, and will need your help to solve the mystery of why his art supplies haven’t made it to him yet. You’ll have to go further North to solve his quandary, but thankfully you’ll have his permission to do so, despite not getting to battle him yet. Once you’ve helped him out, his spirit will be reinvigorated, and he’ll take you on with his Light Types.
Area Master: Paxton
Specialty:
Mental Types
Area Master: Coleus
Specialty:
Nature Types
Coleus is the grandson of Paxton, and Nuyok City’s Area Master. He’s a wannabe botanist, and is currently the youngest Area Master in Nerida. He’s a tour guide at the city’s premiere botanical gardens, and is very knowledgeable about all different forms of plant-life. His time spent studying botany and mycology makes him a near expert on the subject, though once he gets going, he tends to make people walk away because he talks too much. Contrary to this, he’s actually extremely shy and reserved, often preferring to bury himself in his research rather than deal with other people. He’s also very easily shaken when things go awry, leading to him needing your help in forcing Team Enigma away from a precious moss-covered stone, said to be related to one of the legendary guardian Enigmon. Helping him out will make him muster up the courage to battle you.
Area Master: Maverick
Specialty:
Shade Types
If there was anyone who embodied the Shade Type, it would be the Area Master of Amethyst Alley, Maverick. Sure he’s witty and charismatic, but there’s just something off about the man… Even so, he’s still an Area Master, and runs the Casino in town. As long as you’re willing to take the risk, he’ll even let you play a few rounds before sending you off on some… less than lawful jobs… Maverick, being the risk taker he is, takes a gamble on trusting you to finish his requests and not rat him out to the numerous cops hanging around the city. Is he a master criminal ? What is this guy’s deal exactly ? They may say to always bet on black, but if Maverick is the dealer, you might want to reconsider…
Area Master: Valerie
Specialty:
Earth Types
This rough and tumble lass is Valerie. She’s responsible for working on the tunnel that leads to Citrine County. She’s hard-working, loyal, and quite friendly, though since her work takes priority over most things in her life, she rarely has time to pursue other interests. She’s a handywoman around the town, fixing things and maintaining the rustic appeal of her hometown. Being the leader of her construction crew, Valerie is expected to use rough and rugged Earth Types, which are indeed her favorite. Before she’ll show you how strong they can be though, she’ll request for you to help her out by finding cute Enigmon which she also adores, despite them not fitting her rugged line of work.
This peace-loving old man is the Mental Type Master, Paxton. Having grown up in an era where violence and war were common, Paxton’s only real goal in life was to eventually live a life of peace and tranquility. He found this life in the swamplands of the Nerida Region, the Averre Glade. There, with his wife, he was able to be in tune with nature and find the peace he so desperately sought out. Unfortunately, with Team Enigma causing trouble, and the many Enigmon living there who were negatively affected by illegal dumping, Paxton was forced to take a firm stance of protest against aggression and violence, and has since become a recluse who refuses to battle. Instead, he makes herbal remedies to heal the sick and wounded, but Team Enigma has come knocking, and it’ll be up to you to help Paxton protect the Averre Glade and get his battling prowess back !
Area Master: Marshall
Specialty:
Wind Types
The pirate enthusiast and entertainer, Marshall, is more than meets the eye. Like his daughter Mira, Marshall is an entertainer. He’s really into the pirate era, and works at the Dezni Pier, home to the Entertainment District and Amusement Park in Orlanda City. Though he seems like he’s all fun and games, Marshall is a former Police Officer who specialized in ocean rescue. As such, he’s got a hand in helping the police find and arrest Team Enigma for their schemes. He and his crew are actually captured by Team Enigma by the time you arrive, though as it turns out, this was all part of his plan to lure out the Admins. By lending a hand, Marshall will happily take you on in battle with his Wind Types after you’ve dispatched Team Enigma and rescued his crewmates.
Area Master: Cybelle
Specialty:
Beast Types
The Area Master Cybelle is a no nonsense individual who’s managed to tame one of the most ferocious types of Enigmon, the Beast Type. After a falling out with her husband Paxton, she’s decided to live in the woods, communing with nature and Enigmon in her own way. Like her husband, she’s in tune with nature, but unlike Paxton, she’s not easily swayed. With her mighty Beast Types in tow, this old lady is a force to be reckoned with. Compared to other Area Masters who generally stick around their own towns, Cybelle is nomadic and will frequently change locations, leaving only small clues as to her whereabouts. It’s her way of testing trainers, making them search for her multiple times if they truly wish to battle her. Once defeated, and after hearing of how her husband has overcome his aversion to battling, she’ll return to him and thank you for helping the couple out.
