These items are crucial to have during your journey, and will help you out immensely ! NPCs will usually give you these during your playthrough.
Key Items
Trainer Tools
Some of the most useful Key Items you’ll use during your adventure are those that affect your ability to capture and train your Enigmon. The items below are built specifically for that !
Spreads Experience to the entire party. The Lead Enigmon will gain the most XP, but all Enigmon will gain Experience even if they don’t participate in battle.
“Backseat Battler”
“Flight Pass”
A license that lets a player fly to previously visited locations on the back of their Enigmon.
“Casino Chip”
A Poker Chip that allows the player to enter and play games at the Amethyst Alley Casino.
A briefcase that holds all your casino winnings. Can be spent at the Casino to buy items.
“Bait Ball”
There’s a lot more Key Items to see, so keep an eye out for more coming soon !
A device that holds Bait. Lures wild Enigmon in so they can be battled and caught. Has 5 Charges.
Equipment Entourage
These Key Items have a direct effect on you, Trainer ! They may be items that help you traverse difficult places, or can affect the environment in some way !
“Thermal Parka”
A special parka made to endure the cold weather. Allows for easy traversal of the Katschill Mountain Range.
“Beachcomber”
A hidden item detector to be used at the beach. Can locate various items hidden under the sand.
Unlike other Key Items, these types of items allow for access to various areas, such as locked buildings. Beyond that, some of these items will even allow for bonus movement options, such as flight, surfing, train rides, and the ability to have your Enigmon follow you or to even be ridden !
“Cash Case”

“Partner Pass”
A license that lets a player's Enigmon follow behind them.
“Alumina Station Ticket”
A pass that lets the player take the train to Champion's Road Station.
Specialty Key Items
These particular Key Items are rather unique in that they serve a very specific function, whether it be a temporary one, or a long-term one. Items in this category might be special Quest-Exclusive Items or items given to you by important NPCs, that can be used in specific locations !
“Discount Voucher”
A ticket that permanently reduces the cost of all purchases by 50%.
“Grinding Gears”
A strange set of gears that grants bonus XP to the lead Enigmon and a single mon in the player's team.
(Cannot be active while the Backseat Battler is active.)
“Seafaring Pass”
A license that lets a player surf on the back of their Enigmon to cross stretches of water.
“Preserve Pass”
A license that lets a player enter and catch wild Enigmon in the Sectin Nature Preserve.
“Payments”
A stack of cash that Maverick has asked you to receive from the folks around Amethyst Alley.
